After working remote for 5+ years these are the things that I try to do better.
- Upgrade my messages
- formatting
- TLDR statement or BLUF statement or main take away
- Use bullet points every chance I can
- Break up paragraphs that are more than 3 lines
- Have a specific CTA or question at the end
- Texting not as good as a voice memos and is not as good as sending looms
- Take the initiative when it comes to calendar scheduling
- Try to respond fast as fuck
- Follow up consistently like the old lady at church who wants to talk to the young person. But also be cool like the CEO who is gently reminding a loved employee about an outstanding task they want to get done.
