Professional history

🔫 I was in the USMC for 5 years as an 0311/ 0317.

👨‍💻 Got out in 2017 and went to a coding bootcamp (Sabio).

📊 Got my first programming job doing government contracting at the Census Bureau working on data.census.gov.

🚚 Then hopped around a few jobs until I landed a job at a YC backed logistics startup called Curri.

The interesting bits

While in the USMC I attended a course called combat hunter and that was neat. I learned about

• Observation
• Tracking
• Profiling

The above along with other lessons from the military is brought into my current work.

DJ is short for David Jr and my father was a pastor.

I got into coding because I wanted to start a company. I still own wayneenterprises.enterprises. (wayneenterprises.com wasnt available).

Got into the Enneagram and have been building an Enneagram community (here)

At Curri I have built integrations for Lyft, Doordash, Uber and more.

A friend and I are building a something IRL that I am excited about.
